Inspection

All vehicles older than 4 years must be subjected to a Department of Road Transport (DoRT) inspection to ensure mechanical safety and emission levels. The test checks brakes, emissions, steering lights, suspensions, tires, and other things and needs to be passed every 2 years. The test usually takes less than 60 minutes.

Documents You Need to Take to the DoRT Inspection Include

Receipt of road tax payment
Invoice of sale
Carbon dioxide emission certificate
Valid ID card
Insurance certificate

Once the vehicle passes the inspection, the next step is to take all the documents mentioned above, along with the insurance certificate and DoRT inspection certificate, which should be taken to the DoRT vehicle examination center for registration.
