Age Restriction

A maximum of 6-year-old vehicles can be imported into Jamaica.

Special-purpose vehicles, including fire brigades, ambulances, panel vans, window vans, and other similar vehicles have an age limit of 10 years. 

However, trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty equipment can be up to 30 years old.

Right-Hand Drive Vehicles

Import of right-hand drive vehicles is allowed in the country.

Inspection

All vehicles must pass the government’s pre-shipment inspection before being imported to Jamaica.
